I am Derrick "Dean X" Greene and I was initiated into the fraternity through Gamma Chapter in Spring 1990.
Since my initiation, I have served the fraternity in a number of elected and appointed roles. As an undergraduate in Gamma Chapter, I was elected chapter KRS, and Dean of Intake (twice).
I was also chair of our Social Action Committee, served as chapter Parliamentarian and was a committee chair for the 75th Gamma Chapter Anniversary.
On the district level I was elected 2nd Vice District Representative and was appointed to the 1st District Intake Committee.
On the graduate level I served as chapter KRS, chapter Keeper of Finance and chapter Parliamentarian.
On the district level I was appointed chair of the 2nd District Constitution & By-Laws Committee and co-chair of the 2nd District Government Relations, Legislative Policy and Voter Registration Committee.
I was also appointed to the 2nd District IT committee. Additionally, I was a committee chair for the Gamma Chapter Centennial, a committee chair for the 2nd District James S. Avery Shirtsleeve Conference, and a member of the 71st 2nd District Conference Planning Committee.
Currently, I serve as your 2nd District Assistant District Keeper of Record & Seal. At every level and regardless of position, I have served with enthusiasm and excellence and have done it "In Friendship for the Good of the Fraternity".
Regarding fraternal recognition, I was awarded the Undergraduate Intermediate Supreme Council Leadership Award at the Grand Conclave in 1992. I was awarded the 1st District Enthusiasm Award at the 1994 1st District Conference, I received my Life Membership in 2015, I received my 30 Year Service Award in 2020, I received my 2nd District Life Membership in 2020 I received the Theta Mu Mu Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022 and I received my 35 Year Service Award in 2025.
In my professional life of over 30 years, I received a bachelor's degree in economics with a concentration in information systems. I have worked in the government, educational, non-profit and corporate sectors. I have managed multi-million dollar budgets and projects, teams as well as large scale tech implementations.
My skill sets span a variety of disciplines and I will use those same skills I have acquired from my professional experience to help further the goals of the 2nd District.
